about

This record is the transcription of '9 Pièces réduites', an exhibition by visual artist Saâdane Afif that was held @ the Prince Pierre Foundation (Monaco) in July 2006. First, the artist commissioned lyrics to David Sanson, in connection with every exhibited work of art, while keeping the original titles and providing personal interpretations of each work. These texts have then been passed on to That Summer who created the following nine music pieces.

All tracks written by David Sanson, composed, arranged and performed by That Summer: David Sanson (vocals, keys), Nicolas Jorio (vocals, guitar, bass, ukulele, keys), Emmanuel Lagarrigue (vocals, keys).

All interludes composed with samples from the 'Lyrics Project' by Saâdane Afif.

Sleeve design : deValence
Recorded by Emmanuel Lagarrigue with Nicolas Jorio in Paris, Summer 2006. Mixed and mastered by Pierre-Yves Macé with That Summer.
